dr Joanna Lis
Graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Special interests include pharmacoeconomics and health technology assessment, methods of financing and management of health and mathematical statistics and its wide use in industry and medicine. PhD thesis from the application of statistics and computer modeling methods of artificial intelligence (neural networks, genetic algorithms, fuzzy sets et al.) and decision analysis in medicine. Completed Master of Business Administration at the School of Business and Management. L. Kozminski Academy in Warsaw.
She works in health economist area for over 15 years, initially as a specialist at the Medical Centre of Postgraduate Education (Postgraduate Education) in Warsaw (also a member of the Ethics Committee) and an assistant professor at the Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering Polish Academy of Science, then as coordinator and supervisor of clinical trials in Lilly.
The combination of the experience in medical trials and pharmacoeconomics & health technology assessment results in work in the field of health economics, reimbursement and financing services. She is working as an adjunct at Pharmacoeconomic Department of Medical University in Warsaw and is responsible for issues related to health economics in Sanofi Poland. Her special interests include pharmacoeconomics, pricing and health insurance, and their widespread use in industry and health systems management.
The author of books and papers in the field of HTA, pharmacoeconomics, medical analysis and statistical databases, as well as co-author of books on pricing and reimbursement of medicines (“PRICING”), the rules of financing health care and private health insurance ("HEALTH INSURANCE & BENEFIT BASKETS - overview."). She specializes in papers within range of health technology assessment reports, HTA transferability, risk sharing agreements and statistics in pharmacoeconomics. Co-author of the HTA guidelines of Polish HTA Agency (AHTAPol), editor of the Polish edition ISPOR Book of Terms and co-author of “ISPOR Taxonomy of Patient Registries: Classification, Characteristics and Terms”. The Lecturer at Public Health School in Krakow, Medical University in Warsaw, Business School of Warsaw University of Technology in the field of medical statistics, pharmacoeconomics and health policy.
